PWA: Key Benefits for E-Commerce Businesses
Written by Kaushal Shah
Here are some other PWA benefits to help you understand what makes them so popular:
- Cost-effectiveness: Anyone even vaguely aware of the concept of apps and websites would know that such a development project is an expensive undertaking. It does not matter if you target iOS, Windows, Android, or other OS — development is costly. That is not true for PWAs though, largely because it involves the use of significantly fewer resources, i.e. JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Speed: It is no secret that today’s customers want and expect websites and digital solutions that are quick to use. So, if the content they need access to, be it even an e-commerce store, takes too long to load, you can be sure of a high abandonment rate. Thankfully, this is not a problem at all with PWAs since they deal with cache effectively to help ensure high-quality and quick performance for the site.
- Android: We say Android specifically because, for iOS, Apple is excessively stringent about allowing PWAs into the App Store. This is not a problem with Android though; Google has been very open to the concept of PWAs right from the get-go.
- You want better conversion rates: Okay maybe you already have e-commerce; sure, it is operational and you are engaging in business. However, is the conversion rate too low or not up to the mark as compared to the goals you set out for the business? This is a fairly common challenge in the world of e-commerce but one that is easily addressed through the use of PWAs which help offer customers top-notch experiences, thus boosting the business’ conversion rate.
- Tight budget: An e-commerce store is always a good idea, no doubt; unfortunately, they can often be held back by the investment required for app development. So, how does one effectively deal with the challenge of building a solid e-commerce offering without necessitating a humongous budget? With PWAs.

What to Consider When Adopting Multi-Tenancy in Kubernetes?
Organizations are starting to scale their cloud native operations. And as they do, the inefficiency of managing dozens of isolated clusters has become an evident problem. As the clusters continue to sprawl, businesses must unite diverse workloads onto shared infrastructure. This is because companies need better resource utilization and centralized governance among other things.
