To be considered a medium you really have to be connected with the “other side”, as it is known. When you see a medium they will ask you a few questions so that they can get an idea of what you are looking for. You might already have a list of questions and that is alright. What they are looking for is a place to start from. With this information the process moves forward.
Once the line of communication has been opened you have to remember that you need to keep thinking about the questions. If there are others present they need to do the same thing. When concentration is lost you might not be able to make contact for a while. Since it is pure energy the source may get tired also.
With this mediumistic ability there might be other spirits that might be present during the reading. The medium is only there as a channel and gives all information as given.
People are often upset when the person they wish to contact in the afterlife doesn’t come through for them, but it takes time for a person who has died and passed to the afterlife a while to learn how to actually communicate with a medium, and therefore make contact with their loved ones on the earth plane.
As the spirit retains its character, the medium may not be someone which it wishes to be in communication with, and so this may be another reason contact is not made, as there is no regulation of the afterlife and there are so many differing opinions and modes of mediumship, only a true evidential reading will give you true proof.
A medium reading can also include clairaudience which is the sound of the beings voice or environment. Clairvoyance is another thing that can happen during a reading. Actually this is the telling of future events. Sometimes the medium doesn’t have to be clairvoyant for this to happen. They are just the messenger.
