RBI Grade B is one of the most significant banking exams conducted across the country.

The Grade B officer recruitment exam is the only entry-level officers’ exam that is conducted by the RBI, and a great way to enter the prestigious organization of the RBI. Lakhs of aspirants appear for these exams every year.

This makes the RBI Grade B exams one of the toughest and the most competitive government job entrance exams in the nation.

Therefore, clearing the exam would take a lot of hard work, perseverance, and determination on the part of the aspirant.

The exam is essentially divided into 3 Phases.

The first two phases are written exams, whereas the third phase comprises a personal interview round. I have explained more about the same in the sections on the RBI selection procedure and exam pattern given below.

So, basically, the RBI Grade B Officers are mandated with the task of keeping the nation’s economy stable by creating policies and regulations for Indian Banks, as well as maintaining market prices.

Now saying that the post of an RBI Grade B Officer is a prestigious one will be an understatement.

Well, obviously the glory of the post is immeasurable but the pay scale and additional bonuses are also pretty handsome too, might I add.

Another thing to know is that the RBI Grade B openings are published for a variety of posts including- Officers in Grade ‘B’ (DR) – (General), Officers in Grade ‘B’ (DR) – DEPR, and Officers in Grade ‘B’ (DR) – DSIM.

Now with a job that is appealing, who’d be crazy enough to not fight for it? But it wouldn’t be the easiest of fights out there, actually scrap that, it wouldn’t be easy at all.
