REAL FACTS OF SARISKA NATIONAL PARK

Sariska National Park is situated in Alwar District of Rajasthan in circle of Aravali hills. In old days, the Kings of Alwar state use this area for hunting purposes. This Park is recognized in 1955 and became a Tiger reserve in 1978. It covers an area of 866 sq. kms. It is amongst the most visited National Parks of the country. Sariska National Park comes under the supervision of Government of Rajasthan.

FLORA OF THE PARK
The flora of Sariska National Park includes Dhok, Ber, Bargad, Arjun, Gugal, Khejari, Neem, Babul, Tendu, Bamboo etc. This park is a wonderful example of varied range of wildlife. The forest is mainly covered with dry and deciduous trees. The thickets get to be ironic green in rainstorm season and completely dry in the spring season.

WILD ANIMALS AND BIRDS
Sariska national park is mainly famous for Tigers but you can also enjoy seeing other wild animals such as- Jaguar, Jackal, Hyena, Wild dogs, Sambhar, Chital, Langurs, and Nilgai etc. Here every animal limits to its territory. Four horned Antelopes are only Indian and is the main lowest on earth with four horns. Not only wild animals Sariska is also famous for its bird species such as Woodpecker, Eagle, Honed Owl, Grey Partridge etc.

BEST TIME TO VISIT
The best time to visit the Sariska National park is from October to June though the wildlife photography fans come to visit the Park all over the year. The Park remains close from July to September.

SAFARI TIMINGS AND FEE CHARGES
Safari in Sariska National Park is led in two separate morning and evening slots, the timings of these slots differ in winter and summer. You require to pay a certain fees for doing wildlife safari in the Park for instance the type of vehicle you want to opt as per your requirement will be charged accordingly, guide fees and camera charges which depends upon the type of camera you are carrying inside the park. The charges differ for Indian tourists and foreigners. Types of vehicle available for safari are Jeep, Bus, Rickshaw, Tonga.

IDEAL DURATION TO PLAN A TRIP-
The duration of 1 night 2 days is ideal for a trip to Sariska among which the duration of 3 to 4 hours is adequate to explore the Park , indulge in all the major activities like Safari and wildlife spotting and visit all the major attractions inside the park like temples, lakes and more. Wildlife enthusiasts and photographers can spend more time inside the reserve to observe the rich variety of animals and birds that take shelter in the Park.
