Recession Proof Your Business (Part 1) Dealing with Problems
Written by Susan Hinds
“Business is never so healthy as when, like a chicken, it must do a
certain amount of scratching around for what it gets.” Henry Ford
I just love my quotes and I thought this one by Henry Ford really hits the mark. I want to help you to find more success and prosperity in your life. One of the best tools that I have found to help me to move ahead in my life is I Learning Global. I am in Brian Tracy's team and I love getting my daily lessons, which I will also be summarizing and sharing with you.
The recession is a time of great anxiety to many people right now but it is great to hear that it is in the tough times that many people rise up and shine. It is my intention to help you to do just that. I just finished this course with Brian Tracy in my I Learning Global system “Recession Proof Your Business”. Brian Tracy says “During crisis is when the leader emerged and they found that they could not train this in a course, it had to be inbred in the character of the leader. So remember whenever you are facing a difficulty of any kind that is the true test of leadership. “ Here are some of the main points that he made:
1. When faced with a problem - stay calm and take deep breaths.
2. Get the facts, the real facts; ask lots of questions so that you have a clear understanding of the problem or crisis. Take some time to think clearly about possible solutions.
3. Take responsibility - you are responsible to how you react to what is going on in your life so it is up to you how you respond. Do not blame others. Make it a point to assume that people are acting out of their best intentions. They may make mistakes but they are doing the best that they can.
4. Remain confident. Every situation has its lessons. Look at what you can do and really think about the options that you have.
5. Unleash your creativity. Think in terms of how to solve the problem at hand then take action on the solution that you feel works best.
Often when we are in a crisis situation we react and this reaction stops us from making good decisions. It is so easy to just blame or complain and not to get what is really happening and most importantly what you can do about the problem. Remember problems are a natural by-product of all of our lives and by being able to be calm and confident in the face of problems then you will excel in your life and in your business. Also when you feel calm and confident you are happier on the inside and this activates the law of attraction so that you attract more good things into your life.
