Do you desire to get rid of your acne? Have you tried multiple products, but none of them seemed to work? Do you wish to feel more attractive and confident? This article will talk about what causes acne and how you can help prevent it. Zits are caused by sebum which is an oily substance that can clog up your pores, the production of sebum is mainly controlled by hormones (this is why a lot of teenagers going through puberty get acne). When you pores become blocked due to the sebum, bacteria can breed in the pore and create a painful, inflamed area.

Some foods such as sugar and milk can cause an aggravation, but there is no scientific evidence that a specific food actually causes acne - there is also no evidence of water helping zits. As acne is mainly caused by hormonal reasons stress, puberty and anything that increases hormone levels will aggravate zits. Now we know what causes zits, we know how to treat them.

Control the amount of hormones your body produces

There is a special drug that can help limit the amount of hormones your body produces and therefore produce less sebum leading to less zits. This is a very effective treatment as it significantly reduces sebum production (the cause of spots). This is not recommended if you are still growing though and requires a prescription - it cannot be purchased in any drug stores, so this option may not be viable for many due to the inconvenience.

Reducing bacteria and material on face

Face washes are designed to help clear the pores of any bacteria and sebum which can significantly help acne. The best ones to purchase are ones that are designed for spot-prone skin, so they don’t block up the pores and lead to further problems.
Scrubs are lotions with granules in that exfoliate the skin and remove dead skin cells (another substance that can block pores). It can also be used as a deep pore cleanser

I find that some facewashes can scrubs can damage the skin (worsening zits) and leave residue which can block pores, so choose a decent facewash/scrub. I also find treatment creams that reduce the appearance of spots that have already been produced to be particularly helpful - but prevention is the best cure.

The website below will list even more treatments and tips for clear, zit free beautiful skin.
