The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is a body which helps in selecting qualified professionals for various posts under the central government by conducting examinations like SSC combined graduate level examination; SSC combined higher secondary level examination etc. Through the graduate level examination it makes recruitment to Group C (non-technical) & Group B (non-gazetted- both technical & non-technical) posts in departments of Government of India, its attached & subordinate offices except those for which recruitment is made by the Railway Recruitment Boards & Industrial Establishments. For this purpose the commission conducts combined graduate level exams all over India, from time to time. SSC recruitments are primarily made on the graduate level basis. To be eligible to appear in these exams you have to be a graduate from a recognized university.
For the SSC combined graduate level examination, the written test is conducted in two phases – Tier I and Tier II. Candidates who clear the Tier I of the examination can appear in Tier II. This is followed by Computer Proficiency Test/ Interview/ Skill test, wherever applicable as per the Scheme of Examination.
Since so many years, Staff Selection Commission has been playing a pivotal role in selecting candidates for central government. It conducts the above mentioned exams on a national basis more than one time a year. It is not an easy task to conduct such important events on such a large scale efficiently. For this, you require hard working, dedicated, morally valued skillful professionals. The selection process should be transparent to some extent as well so that no one can question the validity of it. So far the SSC has been remarkably successful in doing so. These exams are considered to be two of the toughest, most important exams for students in India. Clearing which can take your career to a new height.
SSC should be appreciated and thanked for its efforts over the years to recruit skillful professionals in Central Government posts. And the efforts have paid off. It is evident in the noticeable improvement in SSC results over the past few years.
