Safaris in Tanzania: Some Tips for Travelers

Tanzania spent nearly a quarter of its ground game reserves and national parks and so tourism is a major draw, attracting nearly 800,000 visitors each year. With that in mind, both government agencies and private entrepreneurs pull out all the stops visitors from Tanzania on the African continent, as well as the international tourist's dream destination.
If you want your vacation to be perfect, it is important to keep in mind a few things before and during your trip:
Lodging: Whether you are a luxury tented camp or lodge, remember that if you choose to live near a big city, your place is essentially a mile from the city facilities, such as the Internet, your cell phone can not work and there is not TV. Electricity in most camps and lodges in the generator and the lights are quite early. Bathroom facilities may not be what you are accustomed to, water conservation is practiced in most camps and chairs.
Climate: Tanzania has a moderate climate in the northern area, and it gets hotter in the south and the coast. Year the sun is real, but there are two main rainy seasons: April-May (Long) and November-December (short). Make sure you plan your vacation and do the right outfit.
Great Migration: This is an annual event that many tourists flock to monitor Tanzania. So make sure you book early, if that's what you want. November-March and June-July. There are key periods when more than two million wildebeest, zebra, and thousands of predators move through the Serengeti. However, you can also watch the great elephant herds of Tarangire River moved to July to October. So you can plan your vacation, according to these lines.
Security: ATM machines, of course, be difficult to find in Safari, but accepted travel vouchers and a major credit card. It is risky to change money on the street or through unauthorized persons. In addition to the caution, and Safari, do not like stepping out of your car, or going off-road, it is also important not to indulge in excessive wealth of impressions, wear heavy jewelry, or leave your valuables unattended. Health-wise, always drink water, make sure you made all your prescription medication with you and check on malaria prevention before you leave for your trip.

Culture: In general, respect the traditions of the country, it means that you do not denigrate the local customs, make sure you dress appropriately, especially if you are traveling to Zanzibar, check with your tour operator about the gifts and advice, and never photograph people without their permission. Social and religious beliefs among the Masai, it should be observed. Also, do not buy fur, skin or body part and take home.
