The embroidered sarees- such sarees can be worn both for daily wear and as well as party wear, depending on how heavy the embroidery is. Usually these days sarees are embroidered on machines, but hand embroidered sarees are available too. Needless to say, the latter is far more expensive than the former, and they look totally exquisite. Often embroidery is done using stones and sequins too, to create a more glamorous effect.

Usually such embroidered sarees are embroidered only along the front portion of the saree, and not the part of the saree that would be draped unde
eath the wraps. However, much of this depends on the judgment of the saree designer too. Such sarees tend to make great bridal sarees and wedding sarees.

The print and embroidery style- these are the sarees that have a mix of print and embroidery. Usually the printing is done throughout the length of the saree and the embroidery is done only on the visible side of the saree drape, or just along the pallu. Sometimes these sarees only have an embroidery pattern along the saree border and the rest of the saree is either plain or has some light embroidery pattern too.

However, like already said, saree designs cannot be categorized into any particular type as such, since there are innumerable combinations and designs available in the market these days. What ultimately matters at the end of the day after you buy sarees is that you select what is in vogue, right for the occasion and what you can carry around with ease.

Also, while draping the saree make sure to do justice to its design, so you get the best out of it. For instance, usually Indian sarees with a heavy pallu are worn in a Guajarati style and sarees with a heavy body are worn in the Bengali style. So chose your style correctly and flaunt your saree in pride!

The basic printed saree- these are usually sarees worn for light and daily wear. The saree design could range from a wide variety of designs staring from the bandini print, to the contemporary art styles, to block prints, etc. The list is practically endless.

The good thing about such sarees is that they are usually printed throughout the length of the saree, instead of just being printed in the selected front- visible portion of the saree. However, it is not rare to find designer sarees designed in other patters too. Such sarees can be most easily purchased on any sarees online store.
