After conducting extensive research I have concluded that there are a lot of misunderstanding surrounding the topic of search engine marketing. The biggest mistake is to confuse the terms search engine marketing (SEM) and Search Engine Optimization (SEO).

One would think that people who claim to be SEO experts should be knowledgeable about the issue and recognize the distinction. Apparently, this is not the case, the Internet is full of misinformation, so-called experts. To demonstrate, suppose that the industry is abundantly dotted with jeans.

To begin, let us first define the term "search engine optimization" (hereinafter, SEO).

SEO

SEO is the process of manipulating the structure and content of a website so that better results are obtained in the organic listings of search engine. The techniques may be sub-divided into several areas of activity, as detailed below.

1) page layout - search engines to crawl expect clea
HTML. Each page of a website should be validated to eliminate coding errors and sloppy.

2) preparation of the site - web search engine bots follow the links on their websites and thus to find new pages to index. If a web bot encounters a broken link can not keep track of your site. Make sure you do not have broken links. It also provides a site map. A tool for creating site maps are available on my website, [http://www.pro-seo.co.uk/ror-sitemap-generator.shtml].

3) the selection of keywords - is vital to select the right keywords for a particular page is to be optimized. The most obvious keywords are not always the best option, and are often mega-competition. Choose wisely.

4) Structure of the site - Your site must be structured so that each page can be optimized for a maximum of two keywords. Do not try to optimize for a lot of keywords on a page. Remember, you have to write to its users. Copy writing is a balancing act that keeps users and search engines happy, and is best done in a well structured site.

5) copy of the deed - the visible text on your web pages should be structured to include the two most important keywords for the content of this page. Get the keywords in the headers. Work keywords in paragraph text, after your keywords appear near the top, near the middle, and near the end. Make some keywords in bold, italic and underlined some some.

6) the HTML tags - The most important of these is the title tag. Get the keywords for that page in the title tag, without repetition. For example, if your primary key phrase is "diet plans" and the second sentence is "dietary supplements", the title tag should say "diet plans and supplements." Do not repeat the word diet, search engines may seem like spam. If your main conce
is to improve your ranking in Google, you may have overlooked keywords and Meta descriptio
Meta tags, no more search engines Google and they can all bring traffic. Plus, get keywords in H1 tags, H2 tags, alt attributes, and most importantly, the link text.

And after doing all that all pages of your website you may ask: Where does SEM in?

SEM

SEM includes SEO as well as all the other things you can do to increase your visibility in search engines and increase visitors to your website. A list can be condensed as follows:

1) SEO (see above).

2) A link building strategy.

3) Pay per click (PPC) campaigns.

4) Banner exchange.

5) Press Releases.

6) And any other activity that he realized that his web site.

SEM then, is the complete package. While SEO techniques are vital, but not the only component of that package.
