As a senior, you probably worry about taking a vacation because you feel concerned about safety, health, and money. Whether you are active and own your own home, or live in a retirement community, you can still travel well into your golden years. Check out some of these vacation spots, seniors like yourself shouldn't worry about visiting.

Cruises
If taking a cruise is on your bucket list, there is no time like the present to start planning. Many companies now offer European, Alaskan, and Caribbean cruises that cater specifically to seniors. These cruises offer arts and crafts, shuffleboard, excursions, and other activities tailored to your interests. It’s the perfect chance to pick and choose what you spend your time doing, while taking in amazing views and scenery.

Elderly Hostels
Hostels are hot right now because these facilities offer travelers the chance to share common spaces and bedrooms while saving money. Elderly hostels are hostels designed specifically for those over age of 65 and are located in just about every city you’ve ever wanted to visit. You can enjoy staying with other travelers of the same age, make new friends, and take advantage of the peace and quiet these stays offer.

State Parks
Even if you don't have a camper or can't stay in a tent, you can still visit many state parks. Most have cabin rentals available, and some rent yurts and campers as well. These rentals often come with all the amenities you need, including comfortable beds, linens, a fully equipped kitchen, and even cooking supplies and utensils.

Vineyard Tours
Head to southern California to experience some of the best wine produced in the United States, or plan a trip to some of the more up and coming vineyards in North Carolina. Vineyard tours let you explore multiple wineries over the course of a day or even an afternoon, which keeps you from tiring out early in the day. Some resorts and hotels even offer package deals that give you a room and tickets you can use at local vineyards, and you may find these include a bus ride or discounted travel passes.

Senior Packages
If you can no longer drive or don't want to drive, you might book a senior package that cuts down on your travel time. These packages are often available through retirement and senior living facilities, like Sunshine Retirement Living, which covers 16 cities and provides meals and lodging at their guest suites at each location. Some churches, and nonprofit organizations also offer similar deals. The packages let you visit cities like Las Vegas, New York City, Niagara Falls, or another places and allow you to tour some of the hottest attractions in that town with people from your area.

Though seniors sometimes feel hesitant about traveling because of safety concerns and other factors, you can still travel as much as you like when you book the right package, and visit the right destination.
