Lady Hydari Parkr
Named after a lady Hydari who was the wife of then Governor of Assam, the Lady Hydari Park is a popular attraction in Shillong. She was a nature loving lady. This small zoo also houses a deer park extending for more than one km. The place also treasures some best breed rose beds. With its fascinating beauty, the park serves as an important tourist destination in Shillong.
The Golf Courser
An importation part of Shillong tourism, the golf course is the third oldest golf course in India. Established in 1889 as a nine-hole course, it was later transformed to 18 hotels in 1924 by Captain Jackson and C. R. Rhodes. It is also referred as the 'Gleneagle of the East' at the United States Golf Association Library and Museum.
