Should You be Use Bodybuilding Straps?
Written by Veronica Hines
What are the functions of the straps?
The body lifting straps have the primary function of removing your focus from the grip and instead focus on the actual lift. When the grips are not worn, the entire focus is on heavily lifting the weights. So, if you are not wearing the straps you need to heavily focus on maintaining your grip. rnSome of the body building enthusiasts also use lifting belts. With it many people may go wrong and the belts may even lead to some injuries. Belts also involve the core and increase the blood pressure. The core id the focal point of virtually all exercises. The bodylifting straps should be used during training as they have many build it benefits within themselves. The straps help in improving the form
When focused on progressive overload training, the weight progresses to a point where the grip does not keep up anymore. The arms may become rigid when deadlifting because they are primarily focused on maintaining the grip. But the truth is that the arms should be incredibly loose during the lifts to move fluidly. This allows a far better form to life weight. When all of the focus is on the grip, it only sets up a bad form for the arms.rnLifting with loose arms When beginning to progress into heavier weights the arms should not be tensed all the time. If you watch any professional powerlifter you will find that they are extremely loose and fluid.Do not overtrain the grip
Grip overtraining is a big issue when people spend too much time in the gym. The grips are literally used in every exercise. The muscles used in the grip get worn out eventually which turns out to be a big issue later in training.Increases the lifting intensity
This is also related to preventing the grip fatigue. The primary focus should be on lifting more weight with more reps. That is actually when you will feel like you have done work and that too an intense one. The use of bodylifting straps not only benefits the performance but also increases how much amount of work one is able to perform. It increases the deadlift force production and performance. This is because you are able to pull far more quickly which allows greater force production. It is really amazing how the differences are created when you have or don’t have grips. The bottom line is that you are able to build more muscles when you have grips. When you use grips, it becomes a little difficult to adjust in the first few days. If you are very new to lifting weights, you should not use bodybuilding straps all the time. The newbies should focus on starting with lightweight. It is different for the heavy lifters who spend a good amount of time every week in the gym. The grip strength should be able to adapt to the training. That is how you get stronger with every passing day. However, you do need to remember that there is a fine line between grip strength and endurance. By overtraining the grip, there is a chance that you can weaken the grip strength.Article author
