Should You Choose Curved Office Partitions?
Curved office partitions are a great alternative room dividing solution and can work in a number of different applications and spaces. Curved lines make openings more welcoming and enclosed spaces more comforting, making curved office partitions perfect for creating an inviting, sociable atmosphere for any workplace. Curved office partitions are available in a huge variety of different sizes and shapes, from desk top screens to inbuilt curving walls.
You can use curved dividing screens throughout your office, or as interesting architectural accents here and there. You may just want to use one curved room divider that gently guides visitors into the work space, or you could use waving or cascading room dividers to suggest privacy and shelter between separate workstations. To provide comprehensive sound protection, you can use padded and fabric covered curved room dividers between different departments in the workplace.
To allow your curved dividing screens to fit seamlessly into the style of your work space, you should choose furniture with gently curved or rounded features. Whether you choose traditional desks with subtly rounded edges or elegantly bent legs, or more adventurous circular workstations, your furniture and office partitions should pull together to produce a harmonised look. Alternatively, if you have the space, you could use your curved partitions to create complete rooms fitted out with conventional furniture to produce an interesting take on the modern workplace.
There are various different ways you can incorporate curved office partitions in your space to provide some visual interest. Curving dividing screens make striking design statements and glass or other textural options can be used to great effect in boardrooms and reception areas. Semi-circular floor to ceiling office partitions obviously have a big impact, but also create large pockets of space which can easily go wasted without customised workstations or storage units. For a slightly easier option, you could consider using room dividers that curve gently towards the ceiling, floor or adjoining wall for a thoroughly modern style.
Curved room dividers can even be used effectively in small work spaces. By using a straight half height screen with a curved top, you can create an illusion of space as employees can see across the work space but are also given partial privacy. Curved room dividers can also be used to hide or work with awkward architectural features, such as structural columns in the middle of a space. If your space isn't quite working for you, consider using a flexible curved office partition to iron out any problems and to create some idiosyncratic, creative spaces.
