Shower enclosures are preferred by consumers across the world for their great utility features. Not only do they enhance the look of the bathroom, they also ensure a clean area where you can start your day with a pleasant bath experience. Even before going to bed, you can enjoy a hot bath in shower enclosures to ensure a sound sleep for relaxing your tired body. Though these have become ‘must haves’ in all types of bathrooms, it is also equally necessary to get one that fits your entire bathroom décor e.g. don’t you think a space-age shower in a bathroom would look out of place in an outdated bathroom? Again, imagine a huge enclosure installed in a tiny bathroom, which just leave room to open the bathroom door! Well, to address this issue, bathroom accessory manufacturers today have come up with various options for shower enclosures. So diverse are the options that you would in fact be spoilt for choice. There are difference in styles, in dimensions and even in material and make. So, what exactly are the criteria based on which you can select a shower enclosure? Shower Enclosure Size As I have mentioned above, it is very important to get the right size while installing these shower enclosures. Just as a large enclosure would not suit a small bathroom, similarly a small one would look out of place in a lavish bathroom layout. Hence, it is very important that you choose a size that fits in exactly with your bathroom size. Measure the area where you are planning to install these shower enclosures carefully, and then calculate the exact dimensions that would enhance the look of your bathroom as well as its overall utility quotient. Bath Enclosure Shape Determining the shape beforehand is very important when you go ahead to purchase shower enclosures. In order to choose the right shape, always decide where you are going to install them. If it’s in the corner than half-moon size are the best. On the other hand if you are planning to install in the middle of the bathroom, then quadrant and pentagonal enclosures are best bets. Though square shapes are preferred by lay people, interior designers and architects like to go for stylish geometric shapes that accentuate the look of the bathroom. Shower House Material Well, while some people prefer opaque shower enclosures, some like them transparent. Depending on your choice, you can either go for ones that are made of glass, or those that are tiled, or come in frosted glass (for lending opacity). The opaque ones are very popular as standalone bath area, which is very much in vogue today. Whatever varieties you choose, just make sure that your shower enclosures should not make the bathroom look cramped and hideous. After, your entire bathroom is one of the most important places in the home.
