Sight the Most Enchanting Wildlife Species with Northeast India Wildlife

The Northeast India is comprised of eight states namely Mizoram, Assam, Tripura Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Meghalaya and Sikkim. All these places have been blessed with pure natural magnificence and plentiful flora and fauna. A visit to the National Parks and Wildlife Sanctuaries of this place will surely be a remarkable experience.
Kaziranga National Park
Kaziranga National Park is situated in the heart of Assam. Nestling on the banks of River Brahmaputra, this ecopark of India allows the tourists to catch glimpses of one horned rhinos. It has the largest population of these rhinos. The swamps along with the elephant grass make it an ideal habitat for the Indian rhinoceros. It houses several other mammals, like elephants, panthers, tigers, bears and a large variety of birds.
This national park is spread over an area of about 430 square kilometers. In the year 1940, this national park was converted into a wildlife sanctuary.
Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuaryr
Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary is situated on the edges of Nagaon and Kamrup District. It is spread over an area of about 38.8 square kilometers. It acts as a home to a large variety of flora and fauna.
Pobitora is famous for housing the great Indian one horned Rhino. Other animals that live inside this wildlife sanctuary include Wild bear, Asiatic Buffalo, Leopard, civet cat, etc. It houses over 2000 kinds of migratory birds as well as various other reptiles.
Namdapha National Parkr
Namdapha National Park, the largest in the Northeast India, is situated in Arunachal Pradesh. It covers over 1,985 square kilometers. In India, this region is one amongst the biggest wildlife protected regions. It is just a few kilometers away from the Indo-Burma border. Its landscape is immensely challenging. It has altitudes as a low as 200 meters and as high as 4,500 meters. This ecopark has diverse and unique varieties of flora and fauna.
The blossoming green under growths in the park is quite thick. It is home to a vast variety of vegetation including canes, bamboos and wild bananas. The drenched tropical rain forest serves to be the breeding ground for several animals and birds that reside here. A visit to the Namdapha National Park is adventurous and exciting.
Manas National Park and Sessa Orchid Sanctuary are some other popular national parks located in the Northeast India.
