Seasonal allergies hit hard for those afflicted. Most of the time they come so unexpectedly after a long winter that people are caught off guard. If you suffer from Spring allergies you know how hard it is to face to world every day with a runny nose, red eyes, and a scratchy throat. There are some simple ways to deal with allergies; you don't have to suffer in silence. If you are one of the many who deal with allergies regularly, here are a few suggestions to help you get through the Springtime with less frustration.First, safeguard your house against anything that may exacerbate your allergies. Change the air filter in your home air conditioning unit frequently to keep unwanted amounts of dust and dander from flying around your house. If you can, install a whole-house UV air cleaner to really keep things clean and fresh. If you are able to keep the air Pin your house free of irritants you will be better able to keep your nose and eyes free of pain. Next, watch for pollen count announcements. Try not to go outside too often on days with high counts. When the air is full of tree and flower pollen it makes it almost unbearable to go out. If you have severe seasonal allergies you may just have to avoid going outside on days with high pollen count. As long as you've safeguarded the inside of your house you should have a respite from the pollen floating around outside. You won't have to avoid the great outdoors all together, just try not to go out during times of the worst pollen count. You can take over the counter medication to help with the symptoms of pollen related allergies but most only work after the allergies have set in and don't prevent a flare up. Seasonal allergies can be dreadful. They don't, however, have to keep you from doing the things you love when the weather starts to warm up. Keep your house free of airborne dander and dust and watch for the pollen count outside. You will enjoy the Spring much more if you take a little time to prevent the worst of your allergies from starting up before things get to be a problem. MIllions suffer from seasonal allergies. Make sure you aren't cooped up being miserable when everyone else is having a great time. There's nothing better than taking a walk on a lovely Spring day free of sneezes, coughs and runny noses.Xavier DelDuca is a freelance writer for Air Design Heating and Cooling, the leading provider of heating and air conditioning services in Salt Lake City, Utah.
