Bars are some of the best environments to
pick up women. Of course, meeting women begins with knowing how to make a confident approach and "open" her in a clever way. Keep in mind that hot girls get approached by men constantly at bars, so you've got to make an original approach that distinguishes you from all the others. A lot of other guys want to learn
how to pick up girls at a bar, and you can stay ahead of your competition by making yourself more appealing.
With that said, here are some tips on how to pick up girls at bars:
1. Before leaving your house, you need to make sure that you look great. You certainly don't need to be tall and well-built to attract women, but you absolutely must be clean, well-dressed and most importantly well-groomed. First impressions are important, after all. If you haven't updated your wardrobe in a long time, go to the mall and have one of the cute salesgirls help you pick out some new threads. Then, go to a proper hair salon (not a cheap barber shop) and get your hair styled. Also, your scent should be attractive; this means get rid of the cheap cologne and start wearing the good stuff (I like Calvin Klein and Bulgari, personally)..
2. From the moment you want into the bar to start picking up girls, you should project confidence. If you are naturally a shy, nervous guy, you'll need to fake this confidence until you start achieving some success (which is how you develop REAL confidence with women). Hold your head up high and make contact with girls. A lot of other guys in the bar will probably be nervous too, although some are better than hiding it than others. Those who at least try to fake their confidence will be able to pick up girls at bars better than those who let their nervousness get the best of them.
3. You're going to have to learn how to approach women if you're going to successfully pick up girls when you go out. If you're a good-looking guy you may occasionally GET approached by women, but in most cases it's up to you to make the first move. Women usually go to bars with their friends, so don't be intimidated about approaching a group of women and engaging them in a conversation. If she's alone, go up to her, smile, and use one of the openers I explain the "Mack Tactics" book. If she doesn't seem interested, don't bug her. Don't worry about being turned down. When you're out at bars to pick up girls, this attitude is important to have. And when approaching girls who are in a group, be equally charming to all of them. Don't make it obvious which girl in the group is your target.
4. Next, when you approach a girl and start a conversation your tone of voice -- and the topics you discuss -- should be positive. She should associate you with FUN and POSITIVITY, not negativity or boring/depressing topics (such as talking to her about your exes, breakups, etc. She didn't spend all that time tonight perfecting her hair and makeup, and trying on five different outfits, so that she could come out tonight and talk about boring, depressing stuff. She's here to have fun! You simply need to be the guy who provides FUN in order to make her want to be with you.
5. When your mission is to pick up girls, you can't be overly loud or aggressive (especially towards other guys, even if you view them as "the competition". It's cool to enjoy yourself and be energetic, but don't be the "spaz" who gets on people's nerves (or even worse, the drunk guy who can't handle his alcohol). Don't drink anymore alcohol than you can handle. But there is often a fine line between "pleasantly buzzed" and "hammered," and women don't feel comfortable being hit on by guys who seem to be drunk and possibly out of control.
6. Pay careful attention to the people around you, and the social interactions of others. Make it a habit to watch how girls behave in bars -- when they're socializing with their friends, and when they get approached by random men. When you identify a target (a girl you want to approach), don't rush in and approach the girl right away; spend a few minutes observing her and her body language. If you can hear what she's talking about (with her friends, or with the guy who approached her), you may hear something that you can bring up during your own conversation with her. So, slow down your pace and don't worry about "making your move" the moment you see an attractive girl. Think like a chess-player and always have your next several moves plotted out in your mind. Becoming a master at picking up girls requires patience, discipline, and most of all PRACTICE.
