Collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid are all parts of the skin (dermis) and their main function is to provide the strength, firmness and fullness to the skin, respectively. As we age, production of these substances normal brakes down, and when we receive reduced amounts of these, our skin begins to show signs of aging is characterized by the appearance of wrinkles and sagging skin. Several treatments have been developed to reconstruct the skin of the elements that had once but lost over the years and this can be done by injecting drugs to fill the missing holes. The injection of Radiesse consists of calcium hydroxyapatite and gel-based carboxymethylcellulose. Radiesse is used as an injection directly into the desired area. Pain at the injection site is typical, but it is generally treated by the application of local anesthesia before the procedure begins. The procedure can last from 15 minutes to 45 minutes depending on the size of the area will be addressed. Radiesse and other fillers that provide tangible results immediately after use. Since Radiesse promotes the growth of our own collagen supply, which makes the results last longer, usually for a period of 1 year to 2 years.
Radiesse can be used in many parts of the face, including areas around the eyes, mouth and lips. Radiesse can also be used to help reduce the scars and hide facial lipoatrophy, a condition where the front will lose a large amount of fat because of anti-HIV drugs. The product was also used to help reduce the scars made as a result of acne, and has proven to be useful it is.
