Sooth Yourself in South India
Written by Peter Jason
A South India tour has such delights that you will be tempted to never leave. From architecture of temples to festivals of the people, you will see such astounding sights as to leave you marvelling. The addition of the lush green hills, valleys and plateaus of nature are also undoubtedly an attraction for South India tourism. Kerala, for example, is well renowned as God’s own country. Kerala tourism is most famous for its backwaters. Kerala has calm backwaters lined with palm trees that you can go boating on. There are comfy boathouses where you can spend the night floating on the waters as you gaze up at the stars. Any of the tour operators in Kerala can help you to rent boathouses for the night. You can also enjoy the wildlife safari that is part of a Munnar tour and perhaps look upon the Neelakurinji flower which blooms once in 12 years. You can even catch sight of the rare Nilgiri Tahr, which is nearly extinct.
But Kerala is not the only one renowned for natural beauty. Tamil Nadu tourism offers up natural beauties of its own. One such beauty is found on the hill statio
Ooty. Ooty tourism offers you the chance to enjoy the splendour of sprawling tea plantations, with small winding lanes giving it a rustic quality. You can go boating on the Ooty Lake or strolling leisurely about its banks. And then you can enjoy smelling the variety of flowers in the Botanical Gardens and the Rose Garden. You can even ask Chennai tour operators to show you the Thread Garden where you can enjoy the sight of hand embroidered flowers. You can even visit the Deer Park, to catch a glimpse of deers frolicking about. But if Tamil Nadu has beauty to entice you, you can be assured that Karnataka has sights that are no less beautiful.
Karnataka has splendour of its own to boast about. While the first thing to that comes to mind when you speak of Karnataka tourism is the Mysore Palace, there are also other beauties to sample. Mysore Palace, in all its majesty, is stands as an example of South Indian architecture. But there are natural beauties that easily rival it. For example, the Brindavan Gardens, which feature fountains lit up at night, and green lawns lined with shrubs, flowers and trees. You can even go boating right in the middle of the garden, in a special boating pond. Brindavan Gardens are no doubt one of the highlights of Mysore tourism. So head down to beautiful South India to enjoy its many pleasures!
