Flying for business is essential for business men and is often the most stressful part of your journey. Whether it’s a short trip from New York to Chicago or a long ordeal from Los Angeles to Auckland, everyone wants to have safe and hassle-free flight. Tension can start right from the moment you are planning and may haunt you throughout the trip. However, stress does not have to ruin your trip. There are some simple tips that can help you to get rid of the travel stress bug. Good planning is the key to stressful business travel. Before you leave for the airport make sure that everything is in place. Confirm your flight and hotel booking with your corporate travel agency. This will put you at ease knowing that delays are unlikely and there will be no surprises at the hotel desk. Also, if you want to arrange for a rental car, be sure that you have booked it with a reliable company. While you are at home, list out all necessary things that you might require. Before packing, check ahead with the airline to see how many bags you are allowed. Don't forget to store your passport in a safe place. Make a copy of all other travel related documents and store them in another location in case they are stolen or lost. Many airlines these days offer online check-in, this will save you time otherwise wasted in standing line to check-in at the airport. But, it is only possible to check-in from home, if you are traveling without luggage that needs to be checked-in. Moreover, you should arrive on airport as early as possible. Security check-ins take longer these days, therefore it’s always beneficial to reach three hours prior to the flight time. However, if you have trouble arriving in early, you can plan to stay in an airport hotel the night before. rnChoose to book non-stop flights. They will not only cost you less but will not tax your body with stress. But, in case you are not able to get a non-stop flight, ask your agent to book connections with ample of time for plane changes. Jet lag is a common problem that you may face while you are in flight. You can prevent it by drinking plenty of water to keep you hydrated. However, you should avoid consuming alcohol on the flight. It is also wise to walk around the plane and stretch while sitting, this will keep the blood circulating. Once you arrive your destination, change the date and time settings as well as the modem settings of your laptop. Whenever you need a make a call, use a call card instead as phone bills are more expensive in hotels. Savor the local cuisine and don't hesitate to ask the hotel staff for the house specialty. What's most important is to relax and enjoy the trip!
