Successful Entrepreneurs Ask for Help
Written by Louis Ng
Here's a fact that may be surprising to some people: every successful entrepreneur outsource some of their work.
If you are currently doing every little task for yourself, it's time to take a load off your own back so that you can be more productive with your working time. There are many small, tedious jobs which should be outsourced so you can focus on more urgent things.
For me, building websites take up much of my time. So, it is something that I always try to outsource. I do know some HTML programming and can build a great site as well (if given the time). However, bear in mind that there are many professionals out there who could do this job at even half the time and time is always an essential factor in the business world.
Web design is something that every online entrepreneur should be able to do, but it is also something most of us shouldn't be bogged down with. There are many great freelancers that will do the work for a reasonable fee. Therefore, you can really take your business to a greater level by outsourcing this task.
Another tedious task which can be outsourced is forum marketing. Going through the forums and making high quality posts takes time. It is also something that only someone with enough knowledge and interest in the niche can do well. One way is to find someone who likes your niche and let them participate in the forums on your behalf.
It is important to find someone who has knowledge of what they will be talking about in the forums. By placing a link in the signature, every time they post on the forums, your link appears before hundreds of readers. Find someone who is interested in your niche and they will jump at the chance to get paid for talking about something they enjoy.
Needless to say, every entrepreneur (or I prefer to call it netrepreneur) needs a good copywriter and virtual assistant on hand. You can hand all of your content creation and article writing needs to the copywriter for a reasonable fee and a virtual assistant can help do a wide variety of small tasks on your behalf. For the rest of the article, let's discuss about other tasks which you can outsource.
Another thing that can be outsourced is traffic generation. As we have discussed above, forum marketing is one way of generating traffic, but there are other ways to generate traffic as well. For instance, you may consider hiring someone to contact owners of websites related to your own and propose a link exchange.
In a nutshell, you ought to be outsourcing any task that does not need to be done by you or jobs which you really do not like doing. If there are professionals out there who can do just as good a job, or perhaps an even better job, then it makes a better business sense to let them handle these jobs. This frees you to strategize your business, focus on tasks that are important or which you really love doing.
If you are not outsourcing any job right now, you may want to take some time to analyze your processes. List out all the jobs that you would like to take off your plate. In the end, after you have outsourced these jobs, you would find that you have more optimized time to do the things that actually pull in profits. So, do your list and begin your outsourcing plans today.
