The energy/etheric body and the subtler planes and sub planes of our planet really benefit from the sun’s rays which helps us to meditate better, develop our psychic skills, do deeper energy and pranic healing and help us live a stress-free and more contented life.
The etheric body is the ‘web’ that keeps the physical-being separate from the inner worlds, if it was not for the etheric body, a person would be able to see everything in the astral/inner worlds. This would not be an ideal scenario, for most of humanity, who have an inherent fear of ghosts or anything not physical.
The composition of the rays of the sun are complicated and in the deeper teachings, they have specific names and roles, which will not be detailed in this article. However, as mentioned above, the subtler planes and sub planes of our planet and our etheric bodies really benefit, at a deeper level which is not visible, from the sun’s rays.
Details of the Subtler Planes and the Earth (Physical) plane (Theosophical teachings):
(1)Physical Sub-plane: First Ether - Atomic Plane

(B) Physical Plane: Liquid

What do the above tables mean?
The core mineral elements of our physical world have a “spiritual’ counterpart which is detailed in Sanskrit, the ancient language. It also has a relation to the elements that we understand and know.
The ‘New Age movement’ associates water with emotion, but now you are getting a deeper understanding that water is the element of the Astral plane, which is the emotional plane for humans. These teachings are not new, they have been around for thousands of years. The Stanzas of Dhyan are the basis for Theosophical teachings and through the Stanzas we attempt to make the deeper teachings known.
As we have to care for our physical body, now you start to appreciate why we also have to really take care of the etheric body, through subtler practices of meditation, faith and connection to the Masters and the Angelic realm. We also need to try to connect more deeply to the planet itself and the energy of the great central sun.
