Surrogacy Solutions for Same Sex Couples
Written by Dandy Rockwell
Every couple, gay or straight, has the same excitement that every new parent feels when they decide to have a child in their life. For gay couples, they are not able to conceive and carry their own child so they seek other options and surrogacy is one of the best. Although adoption can still be another option, many choose to be biological parents through surrogacy. Everybody deserves this milestone that everyone can step and now same-sex couples can have this option.
However, same sex should take not about the multiple issues that need attention such as ethical issues, medical issues and legal issues. All of these need to be reviewed very carefully to be successful in the whole surrogacy process. It is best for same sex couples to hire an agency like surrogate agency Florida. Agencies help a lot since there are so much involved in this process and they can help from medical advice and psychological counselling to legal services.
Traditional Surrogacy and How it Works
A simple definition of surrogacy is that one woman, called the surrogate mother, will carry a child that in end will be given to the intended parents. There are types of surrogacy and couples should know all about this before they enter. Both parties should also know that surrogacy is an expensive procedure and it involves physical and emotional stress. The surrogate mother and the intended parents should really prepare for this whole process to be successful.
Traditional surrogacy and gestational surrogacy are the two types of surrogacy. Traditional surrogacy is where the sperm of the intended father fertilizes the eggs of the surrogate mother. This process is done through invitro fertilization (IVF) or intrauterine insemination (IUI). For this process, the Florida surrogate mother will be the biological mother of the child. Success rate for the surrogacy procedure is the same as what is expected from a normal pregnancy and delivery of fertile couples or couples who can bear their own child.
Gestational Surrogacy and How it Works
One of the types of surrogacy is called gestational surrogacy. This procedure is much more expensive than traditional surrogacy and much more complicated. This is more difficult to accomplish because both the intended mother and the surrogates Florida must have a cycle that match which is achieved by medical treatments. For this procedure, the sperm and eggs of the intended couples are gathered and then implanted to the surrogate mother’s womb through invitro fertilization or IVF. It is like intended parents are borrowing the surrogate mother’s womb for the whole process. In this process, the surrogate mother is not the biological parent of the child unlike traditional surrogate where the woman who carries the baby is the biological parent of the child.
Take note that because of surrogacy cases, there are legal restrictions which may vary from state to state in United States. Be sure to check the laws of the state where you live to understand your rights or you can seek for help like atto
eys and professionals.
