Symptoms of Panic Attack - Get Rid of Them!

There are numerous symptoms of panic or anxiety attack and I will point out and give details as much as I could in this article. Allow me, nevertheless, to first discuss what this disorder is. A panic attack is a condition wherein a person is plagued by unprecedented episodes of panic attacks.

There is a wide-range of reasons for having a panic or anxiety attack disorder but they all boil down to one thing - maintained high levels of anxiety. Sure it is normal to get a little uneasy from time to time and there is nothing wrong about that. You may not know but mild anxiety helps improve a person sharpen his mind and thoughts; yet, in the event that such anxiety level intensifies and is not remedied ahead of time, it may lead to a serious panic attack disorder.

Hyperventilation is but among the usual panic attacks symptoms. This symptom is among the most noticed manifestation of panic attacks yet the explanation behind its occurrence still baffles everybody.

The next symptom that happens after hyperventilation occurs is temporary loss of consciousness or fainting. The moment your breathing pattern becomes so unpredictable, the exchange of oxygen and carbon gasses changes also. Due to the fact that a lesser amount of oxygen gets into the lungs and subsequently less oxygen is transported to the brain, tendencies for you to temporarily lose consciousness are high.

One other very common symptom is tachycardia or increased heart rate. Since your body will detect that you are under a lot of tension, your brain will actuate your sympathetic response in order to prepare your body to either fight or flight. Increased heart rate is among the symptoms of an actuated sympathetic response.

Mostly, the majority of the manifestations of a panic disorder are brought about by the actuation of the sympathetic nervous system. Any tension or anxiety that is occurring within us will automatically activate the sympathetic response of the nervous system. Other sympathetic signs may include nausea, shaking of the hands or legs and increased perspiration.

Finally, the most important symptom I want you to focus on is the time an actual attack takes -as if everything goes in slow motion. Such feeling is common to panic attack patients and it is considered to be the culprit why fear and anxiety levels escalate. Most people may think then that they have been suffering from panic attacks for a long time already. I want you to remember this - a cycle of panic attack would usually last for 10 to 15 minutes merely. So I advise that during a panic attack, try to calm down and just wait for the symptoms to die down; as it will surely end.

Those were the common symptoms of panic attacks you have experienced or will be experiencing on the future attacks if you won't do anything to stop it. The enumerated signs and symptoms are not life-threatening at all, you need not to worry that much.
