Stomach plays a very vital role in our body and is also considered to be the main organ of the body. It is called as important or main organ of the body because it help in digestion of food. It is the stomach only that break down the food in smaller pieces which can be easily digested and and further this digested food gives energy to the body. Our stomach releases acid that is known as Hydrochloric acid. Hydrochloric acid is very important for healthy digestive system as the main function of this acid is concentration of stomach acid. This acid alsi distroy the unhealthy bacteria and fungi in the stomach.
For passing down the food into the stomach is done by the oesophagus. Acid present in the stomach is responsible for digestion of food and stomach is lining by some cells and these cells are responsible for making acid in the stomach for digestion. If the amount of acid present in the stomach is in low amount then it would be very difficult for the stomach to digest the food. Due to low amount of acid present in the stomach the bad bacteria survive and the balance between the good bacteria and bad bacteria in the digestion tract is lost.
