Taj mahal of Agra most beautiful wonder of the world was voted as the top wonder through online voting conducted by a private company. Swiss film producer author and aviator Bernard Weber launched an initiative in 2000 The New Seven Wonders. The purpose behind this initiative is the earn profits for restoring and preserving monuments and buildings around the world. Taj mahal of Agra got the most of votes from Asian countries. But fact is that this great wonder is really beautiful and everyone should get familiar with it. Taj mahal of agra was built by great moghul emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beautiful wife Mumtaz. The time and cost invested in building this wonder was almost un-believable. It took almost 22 years to build this huge monument, the material used for building taj mahal was all genuine and imported. White transparent marble was brought from district in Rajasthan state, jasper from Punjab and the jade and crystal from China,the turquoise from Tibet, the Lapis lazuli from Afghanistan, the sapphire came from Sri Lanka and the carnelian from Arabia. Surrounding this huge tomb are octagonal minarets, height of these marble minarets is 138 feet. A final balcony is also found on the top of the tower. It is said that at one point of time these minarets were open to the public until somebody committed suicide by jumping of one of these minarets. Near taj mahal is beautiful garden, this garden is known as Charbagh garden, this garden is known so, due to the four flowing Rivers of Paradise where one is made of water, other of milk, the third of wine, and fourth of honey.nOne can find trees of different fruits and beautiful flowers in the garden.
