Working toward a goal is making the choice to attain something that you do not currently possess. It is a milestone. Some goals are easier and more attainable than others.

Choosing to grow your business and implementing all the steps, creates a challenge. You are stretching yourself. This might be uncomfortable. You will be doing things which you had previously avoided.

How will you act when you are facing an uncomfortable task? Consider the obstacle you need to overcome to reach your goal. Growing your business means stepping out of your comfort zone and doing things differently.

There are three primary responses to facing something uncomfortable. You can retreat and go back to what you have always done. Another option is to retreat until you have figured out a plan and then take action. The third and most challenging approach is to figure out the best immediate choice available and take decisive action.

Facing something uncomfortable will bring up fears, apprehension and some anxiety. Growing your practice might contradict some core beliefs you have about your success. The messages you have about doing something uncomfortable will affect your decision.

The more that you want something, the less likely you will let the inner critic affect the outcome. You have the ability to overcome those thoughts and beliefs which have kept you from growing your practice. Although it might be uncomfortable, take decisive action. As you rise above the apprehension and face your fears, continuing to progress toward your goal, the fearful voice is weakened.

If you were criticized, you might have learned to remain quiet and not talk back. Were you told the same message over and over again and accepted it as being true? Have you held onto these beliefs for so long that they feel as if they are part of your identity? Releasing the inner critic and related negative messages is possible.

How would things be different if you chose to talk back to your inner critic? That is right. You can face your inner critic. Take a stand. Say everything you have always wanted to say to that critical voice.

Become your own advocate. Don’t hold back. When you hear the inner critic, take a stand and talk back to it. If you don’t challenge the inner critic, you are likely to retreat to what is familiar and comfortable. You will abandon your goals.
Being able to face your fears is transformative. It takes away the power of that inner critic. Release the inner critic and its self defeating message. Choose to become empowered.

As you begin to clear the limiting beliefs, you will begin to feel empowered. Choose to create a new belief which is positive and supportive. Develop a new outlook which will encourage you to take the steps necessary to grow your business.

You deserve to grow your practice with confidence. This transformation to talk back to your inner critic and regain control is powerful. As you begin to face each challenge, you will gain confidence in your abilities. Each step will build upon the previous steps you had already taken. As your confidence increases and you take a stand against the inner critic, your beliefs about who you are and your successes will change as well.
