The fruit of emotional healing is happiness. When embarking on any journey, it is important to recognize where you are now and where you want to go, so that you can map out the best route for getting there. The inventory below is designed to help you assess your current state. As you engage in the work of releasing that which does not serve you and opening to that which does, your score – and your sense of well-being – will improve. Please answer the following questions to identify your emotional state at this point in your life. Use the scale below. 0 = almost never 1 = rarely 2 = occasionally 3 = frequently 4 = much of the time 5 = almost always 85 - 100: You have a healthy self-image and are not substantially encumbered with unprocessed emotional residue from your past. You have a high sense of self-rnworth, do a good job of managing your boundaries, and take excellent care of yourself. For the most part, your relationships are peaceful andrnnurturing, and you can effortlessly experience pleasure. 65 - 85: You are “fine.” You may sense the possibility of feeling more alive than you do now, but may not be highly motivated to make any major changes in your life at this point. However, chances are good that as time passes, your ability and willingness to tolerate being “fine” will diminish, and the need or desire for more will emerge. If you fall into this category, I encourage you to hold an intention to make improvements that will enhance your emotional and physical well-being. 65 and below: You are currently carrying an emotional burden of misunderstanding about who you are and what you deserve – you are in doubt or evenrndenial of your inherent lovability. You are probably struggling with issues that continue to hurt your relationships with yourself and others. Life is too short and too miraculous an opportunity for love for you to keep carrying this load. I encourage you to take the steps outlined in this series to liberate yourself from your past misunderstandings and disappointments . . . to set yourself emotionally free.
