Tank Games

When you play tank games, you have the option to play on the offensive or defensive. Often times, most people prefer to play games that don't allow them to have this type of choice. Let's talk about why tank games are significantly more intellectually challenging than a lot of other types of games. One of the major reasons is because you are constantly faced with the choice of whether or not you were going to do maneuvers which are defensive in nature, or if you want to go on the offense and try to win through sheer force.

The majority of games that people play make many decisions for you. You really don't have a lot of flexibility when it comes to making a decision about whether or not you are going to be using an offensive strategy, or if you plan to play defense. Therefore, you go into this type of game without having to really make that fundamental decision from the beginning. When you play tank games, things are quite different. You will have to make an initial decision as to whether or not you want to primarily go on the offense, or if you want most of your strategies and tactics to be defensive in nature.

Sometimes you need to do a little bit of both. Your opponent might do something which causes you to have to take a defensive posture that you do not originally intend to take. Some people don't really like playing this type of game. It creates a little bit too much confusion and forces people to think more than they would like to. By the same token, there are those who really enjoy having the flexibility to adapt to whatever environment the game provides them with. The number of variables that need to be dealt with can be quite extensive.

Tank games can really be a lot of fun to play because you have more choices than with most games. On the other hand, if you are the kind of person who really doesn't like to think too much while playing a game, then it is probably safe to say that tank games are not right for you. Either way, you owe it to yourself to experiment with playing this type of game a little bit to see how you like it. You might discover that it is a lot more to your liking then you could've ever realized.
