Teachersâ Attention Works as a Confidence Booster
Written by Ravi Jain
“Attention” is what that every human being runs after. Many people may refuse to accept it but it is true that, everybody seeks attention from somebody. People tend to get disheartened when they do not get the attention that they desire from somebody that they want. When it comes to kids, then it becomes more obvious. They are high attention seekers. They love it when people come around them and notice their activities, especially when these people are their own parents. They love to be in the lime light all the time. They get mad when they do not get the same. They love to get noticed by their parents, and when they start their journey of education, they make their teachers the target of their attention.
On the other hand, teachers always face the problem of managing a huge group of attention seekers. Teachers most of the times pay deep attention towards the children because it is their main job. Though, sometimes it becomes beyond control for the teachers to control a classroom full of children. It is one of the toughest jobs to make the children sit quietly and pay attention to the class that is going on, and teachers have to do it on every day basis. Teachers make them speak and involved in the class when it is necessary. Though it is tough to make them understand what the teachers are conveying in one go, but since it is their job, therefore they do it.
Since students spend a lot of time every day in the school with their teachers, they come closer to them. It creates a feeling in them to get noticed by their teachers for most of the matters. The teachers who pays a lot of attention to the students, becomes their favorite teacher. On the hand, when students seek attention from their teachers, and fail to get it, they tend to get depressed. They find themselves unnoticed and left alone. Many teachers might not realize, but their slight attention for the students help them to gather a lot of confidence. In fact, it has been proved that, students who get a lot of attention do better in their exams and also in the co-curricular activities.
