The term paper is generally categorized in two different categories such as the analytical term papers and argumentative term papers. The key difference between these two categories are, the first one is the combination and presentation of different data, information as well as facts and figures while the later one is backed with the arguments about any particular topic or notion, these arguments could be supportive or not but the solid reasoning is inevitable. In the domain of academic writing and specifically in the continuum of term paper, there are different citation styles and paper formats that are used to achieve the level of readers’ friendly view; different academic institution use different styles according to their need and work demand. There are numerous styles and paper formats that are in practice such as APA that stands for (American Psychological Association), MLA that stands for (Modern Language Association of America); Harvard and Chicago; etc. In USA, the generally used style is the APA; however, one can find lots of work in MLA and Harvard styles as well. However, despite the difference is styles and formats, the core purpose of using any above discussed style is to authenticate the information with proper references and in-text citation so that the element of bias and its level could be eradicated.
