1. FreeStyle Libre: Blood Glucose Monitoring System The Abbott FreeStyle Free System is a blood glucose monitoring system that eliminates the need to sting or calibrate fingers. Measure the level of sugar in the blood with a small sensor attached to the user's back. The sensor has the size of two stacked pieces and provides real-time readings of up to 10 days. The sensor can also read glucose levels through clothing. 2. Foundation medicine Foundatio One CDx is an FDA-approved adjuvant diagnostic test used for solid tumors such as colorectal, breast, ovarian and melanoma cancers. It is designed to provide clinicians with clinically exploitable information, the company said. 3. Medtronic The Medtronic Remodulin implantable system has been developed to treat patients with pulmonary arterial hypertension. The system incorporates the company's SynchroMed II implantable infusion pump with a newly developed intravascular catheter that delivers intravenous remodulin to patients who have already received the drug via an exte al infusion pump. 4. Vein Finder/Vein viewer A Vein finder is a medical device that helps clinicians find veins quickly. This allows quick access to the veins when every second counts. The patient may have health problems that can complicate the search for veins. 5. Abilify MyCite Abilify MyCite is a prescription drug with an internal sensor designed to treat a variety of conditions, including schizophrenia, bipolar I disorder, and major depressive disorder. The Abilify MyCite system determines if the medication has been taken. As a rule, the recording can be recognized withi 30 minutes. However, a smartphone or web portal can take up to two hours to detect if the medication has been taken.
