Biometric Machines have left HR Professionals at their mercy. These working individuals owe a great deal of gratitude to their advent. Biometric Devices have made life easier for them. Tasks which were seemingly difficult earlier have become simpler.

The Attendance Machine facilitates stringent and effective surveillance on employees. Those not working properly, violating the code of conduct and trying to dodge the management by putting in lesser hours at work but taking home full compensation are immediately identified, reprimanded and even sacked if necessary.

Biometric machines have made the process of gathering evidence against such employees easier. Rogue employees shirking work all the time and not fulfilling their professional obligations are at once trapped. Video and electronic evidence help get an official record of their absenteeism on paper, which is further produced as evidence in front of the management whilst taking up that person’s case.

The biometric devices are mostly installed at the entry and exit points of all offices. Employees officially listed on company payrolls are either issued identity cards which they are supposed to carry with them all the time.

At the time of entering, they have to punch their card against the device. The attendance machine records their employee ID, recognizes it and grants access. In case it does not match, access is denied. Similarly, when they go out of the facility they are again supposed to punch their cards. If they fail to, access is denied.

There are other devices which record employee fingerprints. The electronic scanners pre-installed in them are so stringent while granting access that if it not a 100 per cent match, access is immediately denied.

Those vying for a proxy attendance or trying to filter in on one for their friend or colleague who misses work for that day will find it tough to execute their degraded intentions.

Because of these, thousands of employees who do not work properly have been terminated from service based on grounds of professional misconduct and impropriety. Besides, the readiness of bona fide and admissible evidence makes it easy to take such employees to court and justify their firings in case they decide to sue the organization for improper termination from service.

Some of the best known modern attendance devices include the AC-1000, AC-3000, AC-4000 and AC-6000. The technology installed in them either entails the access card system or subscribes to the fingerprint technology. They are installed at all points and this way even in a huge facility, thousands of employees can be kept a tab on.

These have proven to be the best, most tested and most effective mechanism to ascertain proper employee conduct at work. Attendances are marked on time and in case an employee missed work on a given day, his/her absenteeism is marked on time. There is no way in which that particular individual can dodge the management or his supervisors and will duly be taken to task in case his/her proxy is marked for that day.

The technology has proven handy over years and with improvements made to it regularly, will be a handful for dodgers in coming times.
