The Economy Has Taken a Toll on Everyone
Written by Hannah Gill
As a direct result of the recession, price rice, and down spiraling economy around the world, you tend to face downsizing, redundancy, and other effects no matter which industry you belong to. Whether it is software engineers who are informed at the last minute about being axed, or fishermen who have to pay an additional tax on their catch and sell them at low rates to industries, the recession bug is biting every member of the society.
What exactly is ‘recession’ and why does it affect us so much?
Recession is when the economy of a nation slows down, and there are huge losses incurred at the Shares Market, which result in several big companies facing a cash crunch and depletion of funds. For us common men, recession means the prices that keep rising, the pink slip that we might find thrust in our hands at any possible time, and the possibility of finding our salaries reduced instead of increasing.
Of course, recession would affect us. It makes unemployed, makes sure we spend each penny thoughtfully, ensure that we save enough (and more) for a rainy day, and find alternative jobs lest we lose the ones we have at hand. Inflation and recession are thus, responsible for many individuals going bankrupt, no loans available as banks are facing financial shortages themselves, and people getting depressed and mentally ill.
The Bad Effects of Recession
Recession will hit us at any time and we must be prepared for these adverse results that we may be forced to cope up with at any time.
Employment
We might lose our employment and salary checks. Thus, we must make it a point to find alternative career options that include freelance and writing skills to bail us out. We might also find ourselves with a lack of funds if we are downsized in terms of salary, so there must be a secondary way for us to add to our salaries as a result.
Business
If you run a business, you must extremely wary about the recession hitting you and must take all possible precautions to never let the bankruptcy bug bite you. If you are not careful enough to save money, you will have to force your company shut down and move on to find a source of income elsewhere.
Thus, recession is an extremely dreaded term that has unfortunately become part of folklore today.
