Golf is not an expensive pastime. While it is often considered an exclusive sport for high society, it is a game for everyone, regardless of age or even skill level. In fact, Golf is that rare game that can be enjoyed in company no matter the skill level of the players. But that doesn’t mean we’re not driven to improve, and with a little help from Bird Golf Academy, golfers can do just that. The sport of golf is played with a ball measuring not less tha 4.26 cm. 1.68 inches. In simplest terms, the goal of the game is to hit the ball into a hole of 10.8 cm in diameter, 4.25 inches and at least 10 cm. (4 inches) deep, using different types of clubs. The lowest score in a game of golf is the winner, so golfers aim to reach the hole in as few hits as possible. At Bird Golf School Myrtle Beach, the golf course is just like most others: it features 18 holes to be played in an established order. The first stroke of each hole is made on the tee, and the last one will be the one that manages to put the ball in the hole. The final score is obtained by adding the number of hits it takes to get the ball into each hole. Each player’s final score will therefore be the sum of the 18 individual hole scores that have been obtained during the game. On any Bird Golf course, and in fact any golf course generally, the first stroke is made from the tee. This is a wooden or plastic support intended to facilitate the impact of the club on the ball. The first stroke aims to drive the ball as far as possible, landing it as close to the hole as you can. The following strokes will be made with the ball as it lies. Once on the green, the player hits the ball gently using a putter so that it rolls rather than flies and and enters the hole. Every hole has a listed par—the average number of strokes it takes a player to complete it. A good golfer strives to score below par on each hole. Philosophy of Golf One the philosophies of Bird Golf School Myrtle Beach is: play the ball as you rest, play the field as you find it, and if you cannot do that, do the right thing. But to do the right thing, you have to know the rules of golf. Reasons to Practice If you like green, this is your sport. Golf may not seem like a very active pastime to the naked eye, but the opposite is true: you move every muscle as you play. Golfers must walk, stretch, and crouch. Golfers exercise their wrists, shoulders, glutes, and waist. Regular activity reduces cardiovascular problems, and golf is a great way to stay active and still have a good time. Not only is it fun and healthy, it also promotes values of sport, behavior and education. And there are even more benefits to practicing golf on a regular basis:
  • Escape the usual routine
  • Get in touch with nature in a calm environment
  • Have fun in the company of friends
  • Establish social commitments
  • Enjoy time with your family
The main reason people play golf, cited by about 60% of golfers, is to do physical exercise. This reason is all the more important the older the player is. The second most popular reason, cited by almost as many golfers (54.6%) is for fun, so much the better when it it is played in the company of friends. Enjoyment and socialization are reasons generally cited by younger golfers. In third place, the natural and peaceful environment of the golf courses attracts a significant number of players, without significant differences according to age.
