The art of asking a girl out
To muster the guts to ask a girl out, one must "not ask a girl out". Cryptic is it?
Stressing over how to ask a girl out would just complicate things because:
- It's a dead giveaway. Its a giveaway that you are into her, thus giving her option to toy with you.
- If she says "yes", this adds pressure on your part to come up with a date worth remembering.
- If she says "no", aside from the fact that it sucks, things could turn sour or awkward between the two of you.
A casual or innocent invites always work for me. When i get the response that I want, I then proceed to my "what not to do" checklist. Let me share with you a couple of these first date advice.
Things to Avoid
No Movies and Expensive Restaurants – this normally does not give you any favorable results, plus it can be quite pricey. Since you can't talk much inside a movie house, you might as well have brought her to a library, at least it's free. Eating at expensive restaurants entails so much formality that adds more pressure and keeps each other's defenses up. The 2 scenarios can hinder the both of you from having fun.
Spending too much money on a girl on your first date translates to "you trying to impress her", which should not be the case.
Don't include your Family and Friends – This is a big no as it will do nothing to help the both of you in getting to know each other better.
What you can do on your first date.
Hang out –Do something casual and comfortable. Though many might say to bring your date to a restaurant, i think I have made myself clear that I don't recommend going for that option. Women dig casual and cheap thrills because it allows them to be comfortable. A casual date also gives you the chance to show her what a fun person you are.
Bring her to a small coffee shop or a lounge. You can also ask her to help you shop for a present.
Daytime dates are always nice as you have more options to chose from. Most importantly, you'll encounter and see a lot of things that will provide you with fun and interesting conversation topics. Spontaneity is the name of the game!
Show Her Where You Live – Though some would say that this is too much on the first date, trust me, it works! Pretend to forget something at your house and invite her in. Let her check your place out as you pretend to look for something. The logic behind this approach is to get rid of the "would you like to come over to my place" line that you will surely bring up in the future if things go well between the two of you.
Be Punctual and Dress Appropriately – need I say more?
Let her Talk More –avoid questions answerable by a yes or no. And remember, keep your personal issues locked inside a safe. Let her be the center of the universe for the time being. Also, try to make her feel that she needs to impress you a bit.
How to End Your Date – keep things short for now. Make certain that it is you that ends the date so as to make her feel that your time is precious. Crucial first date advice: always end the date at its peak to make her want for more.
