Well, antioxidants combat the negative effects of the free radicals that are present due to the pollution, sun light, different chemicals and of course the unhealthy foods you eat. And there’s a lot more to it.
What is Antioxidant?
This is the group name for vitamins, minerals carotenoids and polyphenols which protects the human body against the free radicals. These antioxidants work to fight off these free radicals before they can attack our health. It basically shields the immune system of the body and encourages the creation of the white blood cells to prevent bacteria from damaging the body. This group of vitamin and mineral also supports the enzymes that repairs the damages done to someone’s DNA helping the natural ability of the human body to regenerate themselves.
Countering these free radicalsr
These free radicals are the ones we are referring to as group of atoms that deteriorates the human body cells and the immune system. These free radicals cause the aging process to speed up thus making us more vulnerable to diseases. The best way to keep these radicals within limits I through eating foods that are rich in antioxidants.
Losing weight and regenerating overall healthr
Antioxidants very well play a major role in weight control. This group might not be directly helping in weight loss, it helps in protecting the body from unhealthy reactions that can cause massive body degradation. And with a healthy body, you can easily continue your weight loss regimen.
These antioxidants are very important when burning fats. They counter toxins which attack the liver mainly and other parts of the body. These toxins increase in number when you are burning fats.
Moreover, antioxidants are good for promoting overall health while losing weight. While weight loss is a good thing, keeping your body healthy should always be your priority. Antioxidants help you work on both things at the same time. They are important to keep the body health and fight different illnesses.
The bottom line, antioxidants are loyal nurturers and protectors of the human cells. They respell diseases and promote good health. Indeed, this group of vitamins, minerals and enzymes are the nutritional equivalent to man’s best friend. They can come in supplements form or just through healthy eating.
