Sometimes the situation is only a problem because it is looked at in a certain way. Looked at in another way, the right course of action may be so obvious that the problem no longer exists.
Edward de Bono
I’ve always found it very enlightening to discover new ways of tapping into my creative energy to help dissolve an issue or challenge. Figuring out new ways of handling a situation that is not working, or trying something new to solve an old challenge that keeps repeating itself, is always empowering.
It’s amazing what we can come up with when we’re open to letting new ideas and thoughts flow into our space. It’s a great gift to realize that there’s something new to discover everyday and if we are aware and awake in regard to our surroundings and happenings, it can be a great enhancement to our life and well-being.
The conscious choice and action to become creatively open to your surroundings; your inner self and your intuition is a very good one. The things that we learn and teach everyday are gifts not to be taken for granted, but to be recognized and appreciated.
Take the time to learn a new skill or focus on creating a plan that will move your life in the direction you want it to go. Try new things, seek out different experiences, be alive, be active and be involved.
When we take the time to quiet our minds, reflect on our happenings, tap into our inner-selves and listen to and hear our authentic voice whisper to us, we are then more and more delightfully surprised to discover that we already have the answers to most of our challenges, if we only take the time to hear our thoughts.
Remember to always have gratitude for the special things in life, like the gift of seeing something beautiful for the first time. The joy of a loved ones face after they achieve something they always wanted to achieve. The smile on a child’s face after they were surprised with a double scoop of ice cream, or the happiness both you and your significant other feel after discovering a solution to a challenge together, that has been putting a damper on your relationship. Even the smile on one less fortunate then yourself when you donate a new coat or a warm pair of gloves and hat.
The points made here are simple. Be open to new ways and new solutions of solving your existing challenges. If you cannot think of solutions, brainstorm with someone and come up with new solutions, then put them into action and see how it goes. If it works great, if it doesn’t, try solution number two, continue until the issue is resolved.
Also be mindful of trying new and different things. It’s a wonderful, quick and easy way to add adventure to your life. When one sticks with the same routine over and over again, it leaves no room to enjoy and explore something new. It can be as simple as trying a new restaurant, or reading a different type of book then you usually do, and loving it. Also, trying new activities you never tried before. Variety is the spice of life, and there are so many things to get excited about. You also want to value the idea of always doing or sharing something new with your loved ones and friends.
Why not CHALLENGE yourself this week, and be inviting of EVERYTHING NEW. See what enters your life, and be aware of the new things you would like to keep in your life and expand upon, and also of the things you wish to not have in your life.
With a new sense of adventure, explore the many ways of solving any issue you may have. Remember, without the willingness to experiment, or the openness to discover new ways of dealing with challenges, you will not be able to grow into your healthiest, happiest most productive and successful self.
Also be aware that when we try something and fail, it helps empower us to become more creative and look for new ways of achieving our goal. We may even think of a better way to make something we care about work. Always be positive and creative, recognize that you can discover many ways of solving any challenge that may cross your path.
Last, but not least, there are millions of amazing and beautiful things in this great big universe of ours. Take the time, on a daily basis to see them with children’s eyes and to appreciate this vast source all around us.
With love,
Lori Snyder
