Where the Journey Has Taken Caleb

Caleb’s journey began at the Cooper Union, a lofty little college in New York City. Positioned as the #1 regional college by the U.S. News and World Report, the institute has a lower acceptance rate than Harvard University.

In 2005, Caleb earned his degree in Chemical Engineering, graduating in the top 10% of his class. Following his graduation, he acknowledged a full-time position with the most rewarded organization in the energy industry, ExxonMobil. He left New York City and traveled to Houston, Texas, where he would be taking up the job.

In Texas, Caleb’s responsibilities at ExxonMobil developed rapidly as he moved up the ladder of success. It was here that he met the love of his life, Leena, who grew up on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. In 2008, the pair moved to Chicago, where they married and Caleb took up a job at ExxonMobil’s Joliet Refinery.

During their stay, Caleb earned his advanced education in Strategic and Operations Management from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, the #1 business college in the United States. Caleb flourished at ExxonMobil as a financial analyst, liable for improving $8 billion each year in raw petroleum purchases and planning refinery activities. He received two distinguished honors for excellence in leadership at this position.

In 2012, Caleb, his wife Leena, and their 6-month old son Sam moved to Washington, DC, to ExxonMobil’s downstream home office. At the new office, Caleb took up the position of Strategic Planning Officer, where he effectively built business cases for multi-billion-dollar speculations and created two local evaluating and industry standpoints.

The three moved back to Houston in 2013, where Caleb acknowledged a position as a director for ExxonMobil’s biggest petrochemical office in North America. He had eight direct reports liable for dispensing and enhancing $18 billion every year in petrochemical developments.

Caleb’s Accomplishments

Caleb has publicly spoken on ExxonMobil’s behalf to the students and workforce at The Cooper Union, the New Jersey Institute of Technology, and the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

He actively participated in a panelist discussion at Booth, and an industry-wide meet and greet. Caleb has also addressed an industry group of Midwest product terminal workers and disclosed refinery mechanics to a gathering of secondary school students.

In 2015, Caleb, Leena, their son, and now one-month old little girl migrated to the Mississippi Gulf Coast looking for an improved pace of life and more family time. Caleb established Ulku Logistics, LLC, based on their desire for better family life, and transitioned into digital marketing.

Caleb saw that many business owners were not concentrating on their online presence, which was a necessity even then.

Today, Ulku Logistics serves as a powerful platform to provide digital marketing solutions to businesses, brands, and services of all sizes, reinforcing their brand positioning in an online market.
