UPCOMING-DC-COMICS-MOVIES

With the DC FanDome, a virtual experience event held last month fans are aware of Upcoming DC Comics movies. The event showcased the latest and best DC and Warner Bros. had to offer in 2020 and the projects they are working on for the next few years.

With the worldwide success and admiration for superhero movies, we have curated a list of DC universe movies that are officially announced. The DC Extended Universe started with Man Of Steel directed by Zack Snyder though some would argue Watchmen should be regarded as the starting point for the DC multiverse. It was followed by Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Suicide Squad, Wonder Woman, Justice League, Aquaman, and Shazam being the last one on the list.

It would be most accurate to say that DC and Warner Bros. have stumbled with the handling of the DCEU due to interruptions of the Studio Heads, Lack of vision and Structure, and trying to emulate the MARVEL Cinematic Universe.

Though the DC movies have mixed reviews, the fans are highly eager and interested in seeing their favorite superheroes on the big screen. DC has announced they are going forward with their superhero movies and here is the list of upcoming DC Comics movies.

ZACK SNYDER’S JUSTICE LEAGUE
ZACK SNYDER’S JUSTICE LEAGUE
Director: Zack Snyder
Cast: Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Ray Fisher, and Jason Momoa

The Snyder cut has been a talking point among fans that had been disappointed with the version of the Justice League that was released. Due to the exit of Zack Synder from the post-production of the movie due to the loss of his daughter the project was given to Joss Whedon and asked to be completed by Warner Bros.

The movie ended up being a light-hearted and fun ride, that doesn’t match well tonally with its universe or the movies that preceded the Justice League. With multiple petitions and support from the fans, the movie has been officially announced through a watch party held by Zack himself.

Warner Bros. and HBO Max have together agreed with Zack and the movie is officially scheduled to be released in September 2021 through the latest streaming platform HBO MAX.

It has been officially announced that the movie will be chopped up into four parts or a single four-hour runtime movie. It is not yet clear the amount of work to be done to complete Zack’s original vision and how much of extensive visual effects and shoots are needed. With a 20 million budget, this is the best-case scenario for the hardcore fans who have backed and supported Synder’s vision starting from Man of Steel.
