The New Entrepreneur – Finding Your Passion in Difficult Times

There is no better time than now to impact the word through using your God-given gifts, talents and experiences. If you choose today to be one of these creative entrepreneurs, your life never be the same The world is waiting for what God has to offer through you.

We now live in a society where a substantial number of new jobs are going to be created by “the New Entrepreneurs”. These individuals have chosen to look past the difficult times we face and live a life of significance. They are finding their passion and using their God-given talents to create businesses that will employ themselves and others. .
Unfortunately, most people were not trained to think as entrepreneurs. Many of you were never taught or trained to be creative and to think outside the box. You were encouraged to go to school, get a job working for someone else. You were trained to use your talents and skills to help others accomplish their dreams and financial goals. The Ford Motor Company started with a dream to make cars. Microsoft started because of a dream to develop personal computers. Starbucks started because someone had a desire to serve specialty coffee. You were not taught to find your passions and use your gifts, talents and skills to create companies. So in difficult times when companies no longer wants to hire employees with your present skills and experiences, you may not know what to do.

Our education system didn’t encourage independent or creative thinking. There was never a focus finding your passions or natural skills to create employment. I am willing to bet that few if any of you ever had a counselor talk to you about being created to accomplish a life purpose and then arranging your education and other activities around preparing you for the impact that you were born to make on the world. Did anyone ever show you how you can match what you learned in school with your unique gifting to start your own business or create a unique source of income.

We have to change our mindset! Even if your route is to complete college, which is a good thing, we have to start, while we are in school, to focus on how we can impact the world, change lives, and develop something that would leave a lasting imprint on the world. Don’t decide your destiny based on just how much money you can make. If your only focus is to get paid, you will find as years go on that you are not fulfilled and you will try to fulfill yourself by purchasing things, getting in debt and paying bills. This is not a life of significance.

Accomplishing your God-given purpose/destiny will take work but it will also be fun and fulfilling. At the end of each week you will experience joy because the lives of people are being changed through what you are offering them. You will have days where you totally lose track of time because you enjoy what you are doing. The income that you make will not be your main source of happiness. Finding your passion and fulfilling your purpose will result in complete joy knowing that you are doing what God has placed you on this earth to accomplish. There is no better life of significance than that!
