The new ML 250 BlueTEC model has fuel consumption of 47.0mpg with CO2 emissions of 158g/km. The engine produces 204hp with 500 Newton metres of torque. It can reach 62mph from standing in 9 seconds on to a top speed of 130mph. The ML 350 BlueTEC 4MATIC model offers 41.5mpg with an output of 258hp and torque of 620Nm. The V6 powered diesel can reach 62mph in 7.4 seconds with a top speed of 139mph. The 306hp petrol engine of the ML 350 4MATIC BlueEFFICIENCY has a fuel consumption figure of 33.2mpg with a top speed of 146mph. The new model also has an ON&OFFORAD package, which utilises six transmission modes, altering driving dynamics and handling safety, to ensure necessary drive control is available to deal with differing operating conditions both on and off road. One automatic mode, two specifically off-road modes and three on-road modes are available for selection via a rotary actuator on the centre console. The transmission modes are: • Automatic - covers most everyday driving operations • Offroad 1 - light terrain, dirt roads and tracks • Offroad 2 - challenging off-road terrain with hilly stretches • Winter - for driving in wintry conditions on slippery roads, on snow, ice or with snow chains • Sport - more adventurous, dynamic driving on winding roads • Trailer - optimises moving off, manoeuvring and braking with a trailer More detailed UK pricing and specifications are yet to be confirmed before it goes on sale middle of next year at Mercedes Eastbou e servicing.
