Dearest Darling Readers, “To make us feel small in the right way is a function of art; men can only make us feel small in the wrong way.” E. M. Forster ‘The small feeling’ within, induced by nature, art, architecture and science is followed by dancing within with our muse. The beauty within is unfolded, by allowing our inspiration to take us somewhere in the future that holds us as glorious. ‘The small feeling’ makes us want to break our shackles, our chains, our limitations. ‘This small feeling’ is beautiful. Experience it often to stay inspired!!! The most wonderful part of feeling small this way is that it leaves us ‘feeling’ so very good and charged. There is no negativity in this ‘smallness’. Feels like saying, ‘Bring it on’ and dancing tuned to the melody inside!!! And surprise of surprises, ‘this small feeling’ so often, makes us strangely feel complete. Have you ever felt this way? If you have, you know what I mean as I am sure my words cannot do justice to what the feelings are in this smallness. ‘The small feeling’ this way gives us the madness to create something bigger, bigger than ourselves that we would have completely avoided otherwise. It makes us feel connected and gifts us the gift of generosity. Can we have this kind of an impact on another person? This is what love is all about. This is what our loved ones need. On the other hand, the critic who seeks his identity at our expense does their best to convince us ‘we are small’ in the wrong way. Sadly, sometimes, we fall a victim to them….We feel sad and alone……and small. We resign to our smallness and we fill ourselves with negative emotions. Do we make people feel small this way? If yes, then our approach needs correction. When we make people feel small this way, we belittle ourselves the most. I made this mistake last week with two people I care about. In the end, all of us felt small and left a scar in everyone’s heart. Even when the intentions were noble, the act still defiled and was a mistake. No justification can ever be enough. I learnt the hard way and promised myself never to do it again. My dearest readers, through the writings of Life School or our other acts, if we have ever made you feel small in the wrong way, please accept our apologies. We pledge to make you feel small and big in the right way, ALWAYS. With Love, Prayers & best wishes Narendra Goidani www.lifeschool.co.in
