In the spirit of the upcoming Halloween holiday, I offer you dating’s top “5 Tricks.” The tricks, that keep you alone and feeling frustrated in dating and love”. I would be a bad witch if I did not give you the corresponding “5 Treats” that dispel these myths once and for all!

Ladies, I am not here to sugarcoat today’s dating scene. I will concede that dating can be a challenge and at times be down right horrible! The problem is, if we don’t question the “Tricks” we have playing out in the hidden corners of our minds; the ones that influence our behavior and make us doubt our capabilities of attracting and keeping lasting love we will never get to the “Treats” that love has in store for us.

Your awareness of these hidden limitations determine the success that you’ll have. Like hidden calories in non-fat foods, sometimes these limitations have a false front. They appear to be normal thoughts but in actuality, they are sabotaging any chances you have of getting what you want. It’s time you challenged these false ideas once and for all.

Here are Dating’s TOP 5 Nasty Tricks:

1) Dating is just too hard.
2) I am too old, fat, short…you finish the sentence
3) I am afraid to be myself on dates because he may not like me.
4) Men want only one thing.
5) Only losers date online.

Many women have these same thoughts about dating but I am here to tell you that these false ideas or “Tricks” have corresponding “Treats”. These “Treats” will provide you with answers you deserve.

Dating’s 5 Treats:

1) YES, at times it really is! That is why you need every advantage possible when it comes to knowing where to find great men and then communicating with them in a manner that makes YOU unforgettable.

2) You are not too anything to date. The sooner that you get comfy in your own skin the faster you are going to meet and keep the relationship of your dreams. You can’t feel like goblin and expect to attract a prince. This defies logic. Working on you and loving the woman you are right
this minute is the magnetism that men are attracted to.

3) Contrary to popular belief, men want to experience the real you. Men crave authenticity in the women they date. They don’t want to date one person and then marry another. This is one of men’s biggest complaints, just be the real you and watch them fall in love!

4) Yep, MEN LOVE SEX. And so should you. Saying that men only want sex is just not universally true. Men are physical by nature; many times this is why we crave them. Denying a man his sexuality is like saying woman shouldn’t be chatty. It is our nature and we all want to be loved and accepted just as we are.

5) Online dating is freedom. It was once viewed as dating for losers. A “TRICK” of sorts. Now online dating allows you to get to know many different types of men from a safe location. If used properly you can weed through men and dates with ease and create a strong foundation for dating. This is a win/win situation.

Don’t let your “Tricks”, or limitations keep you from lasting love. Challenge yourself to look beyond the costumes that we wear, find the real you and create lasting love once and for all.

Lori Pinkerton
Author, Speaker, Coach

Lori Pinkerton specializes in helping woman break through the cycles of relationship disappointments and missed opportunities.
With her innovative process, Lori teaches women how to “grab” the advantages in dating and love.

She helps women rediscover themselves and their dreams. This is easier to say and harder to do. Knowing this, Lori’s coaching products and services take learning one step further by showing women “how to” use these discoveries to have

the relationships most only dream of!

Lori Pinkerton has made a career out of her passion—helping every woman, no matter who they are, create irresistible connections on their dates and ultimately find the love of their life.

Her success caught the eye of TV’s 180 Life and Style Makeovers, a national television show that premiered in the fall of 2010 on the Oxygen channel, and the first show of its kind to account for the whole woman. The producers invited her to share her secrets with America. As the show’s dating and relationships expert, Lori teaches the women how to breathe new love into their lives and she helps women create relationships that leave them feeling wanted instead of feeling wanting.

Her proven tools get to the heart of what matters—showing women how to create the dates they dream of and experience an intimacy that most have given up on ever finding.

Lori doesn’t believe in settling—that’s why she took the scary step of leaving an unfulfilling marriage after 23 years. Tired of her depression and unhappiness, she abruptly took her perfectly imperfect life off autopilot.

Raised by nine moms and three dads before the age of ten, Lori spent her young adult life building a castle of stability around herself.

“I grew up very poor. My granny used to say all the time, ‘If we just had money, everything would be great,’” she says. But once Lori reached the top of that castle—surrounded by multiple houses, a successful construction business, and a model family—she looked down and wondered, “Why do I feel so empty? How come I never feel good enough?”

Lori would find an answer in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), a tool for re-envisioning herself beyond the self-imposed limits that had kept her confined for so many years. After studying under NLP expert Richard Bandler, she became a certified trainer and began helping others recognize and act on their vast potential in their personal and professional lives. As a life coach she was wildly successful.

But the now-foreign world of dating made her head spin. She admits,“It took me a year after the divorce to even start dating.” Then the idea to use her business and life-coaching experience in her dating hit her like a ton a bricks. She started Get Up and Date to support women in finding quality dates that lead to lasting love ~ because she understands that settling is too often an easy alternative to fighting for what you want.
