'Life is too easy for drinking': is the thought many have. But, do they realize the importance of living? I agree with the fact that life brings many challenges directly splashing at your face, making you frustrated for moments. rnAs we travel a little further, we usually forget the pain deep inside those incidents & only remember the lessons once learned. Next time whenever you are out for drinking, make sure to ask yourself below questions: 1) Can I do something relevant than just drinking the whole night? 2) Can my patience, dedication & hard work change circumstances into some good? 3) Is drinking only can I do? Don't I have other abilities to counter my pain? I am sure when you will ask this, you'll never turn up again at the drinking station. But what if drinking has become your worst habit? Other than making you weak from inside drinking has a lot more side effects attached to it. Moreover, if you are an alcohol addict, it's crucial for you to understand how long does alcohol stay in your system? Or how much damage is done by alcohol consumption? 1) Brain The damage caused by alcohol is intolerable. Alcohol's amnesiac effect can cause Wernicke-Korsakoff Syndrome, which impairs memory affects both vision and speech, often called the disorder causing seizures. It will make you isolated from creating new memories, making you mumble anytime & anywhere and keeping your eyes twitching constantly. It also releases the excess of dopamine & GABA, the neurotransmitters where Dopamine helps with pleasure & GABA makes your brain calm down. Excess of these can make you struggling for breath, hallucinations, night-terrors, illusions, high B.P., suicidal thoughts from much depression & aggression. Not only this, but it is also responsible for releasing an excess of endorphins, often responsible as natural chemicals which reduce pain. Their excess can result in low sex drive, extreme fatigue, infertility, depression, low testosterone and eager of being in an aloof state. 2) Liver The food is broken down and distributed from here. I agree its decomposition takes time and is slow. But why do you want to destroy it by the toxins of alcohol? When your sips reach your liver, they convert into acetaldehyde, one of the toxic results which can destroy the layers of your liver, making it weak & sluggish. An excess glass makes the liver accumulate & store unhealthy fat which can even cause fatal fatty liver disease. This indeed leads to alcoholic hepatitis, the inflammation of the liver. This further leads to cirrhosis, stopping the regeneration of liver cells. If one continues after this, he is very close to liver damage and even death. 3) Breasts With high on alcohol, it creates a risk of breast cancer. As it increases estrogen levels making breasts more open to cancer. As per Breastcancer.org, a woman only needs three drinks to increase the chances by 15% and if she is younger, then the risk multiples * 3, making her more prone to it. 4) Stomach High intake influences negatively the high production of acids causing gastritis and also irritates & inflammation to the stomach lining, which can further excess in ulcers & make the stomach bleed. It can also cause Anemia by the tearing of the stomach lining. The pain in the stomach after drinking can also indicate chronic cholecystitis, the gall bladder condition. 5) Pancreas Alcohol abuse can cause inflammation leading to pancreatitis, the major cause of pancreatic cancer. It can also lead to improper regulation in the production of insulin causing diabetes. 6) Heart High intake can cause cardiomyopathy, the drooping & stretching of heart muscles. Further, it causes myocarditis, inflammation in the heart muscle & also results in arrhythmia, notified by an irregular heartbeat. Increase in BP and the lipids of blood makes heart weak & open for heart attack, raised cholesterol, strokes & hypertension. 7) Bones Excessive drinking can cause weakening of bones as the calcium deteriorates and flushes out, making them more susceptible to osteoporosis or frequent fractures. 8) CNS The alcohol causes many effects like blurry vision, slurry speech, weak muscles, a decrease in reaction or response time and having an impaired memory. It can even cause cell damage known as neuropathy. This further causes numbness, pain burning sensation, and feelings of being weak in the limbs. 9) Colon The alcohol can cause adenomas in the colon which are tiny in structure & benign tumors. Later they develop into pre-cancerous polyps. Now, decide for yourself as the body is yours & the life in it is 'you.' You can either choose to live by opting for many treatments that are available including alcohol detox which can be done at home as well or dying unlimited times once in a lifetime. I hope you choose to live more.
