The UK's largest independent travel agent is set to open its 43rd retail shop in North Shields this weekend. Local residents can look forward to an action packed weekend as Hays Travel get ready to celebrate the official opening of their shop in the town centre.

The fun starts on Saturday when Steve and Karen from the Capital One Breakfast Show will come down to officially open the store. Local school children have been competing to design a plaque for the travel agency entrance and Saturday will see Steve and Karen unveil the winner.
