The Ultimate London 2012 Hospitality and Olympic VIP Packages aboard a Superyacht in the heart of the capital

With only 124 days to go until the 2012 London Olympics begin, many companies have still yet to decide how best to entertain clients, from where to watch the Games – if they don’t already have tickets – and how to capitalize on what will be the event of the Summer and, indeed, the year.
rnWith official VIP hospitality packages costing extortionate amounts (grandstand ticket prices of £450 but package prices of over £4,000…must be some darn fine food), it’s only wise to seek alternative, high-end, VIP Olympic packages and London 2012 hospitality options. For sure, they are out there and, it seems, demand is actually rising the closer we get to the Opening Ceremony and the lighting of the Olympic flame.
rnJust as with the Queen’s Jubilee in June, the River Thames will likely play a large role in the summer’s Games. For one, it will provide a much easier access route through the capital, avoiding what is sure to be road chaos. Clearly, sitting in traffic takes a VIP experience to a very average experience rather quickly. Moreover, many private individuals and some companies are choosing to host their luxury hospitality on the water, away from the melee of Park Lane, Mayfair, Piccadilly and more, namely in new superyacht marinas that are popping up.
rnCanary Wharf will be home to just such a marina, offering mooring for large superyachts more commonly seen in St. Tropez or the Caribbean. While many will be for owner-use only, one will offer amazing, VIP Olympic packages and hospitality, including viewings of televised events, on board the yacht, in the company of Olympians, including at red-carpet, invitation-only receptions and parties.Imagine, you’re sitting and sipping your champagne while the Gold medalist from Athens, Sydney, or L.A. gives insights into just what it takes to compete at that level and hints as to why an athlete’s throw, run or jump may not be quite hitting the mark.
rnAs a global event, with the attention of the world’s media focused on it for the four weeks of Olympic and Paralympic events, London is set to attract a vast amount of wealthy visitors who are happy to pay for a once-in-a-lifetime experience, one that cannot be repeated. Clearly, iconic London landmarks that have stood guard over the capital for hundreds of years are attractive sites for VIP hospitality. But they’re not going anywhere; they’ll be here next year, next decade, next century. But those sleek motor yachts moored among the soaring towers of the city will leave soon enough. So for those seeking truly unique London 2012 hospitality and VIP packages, thinking outside the norm, and off dry land, may be just the ticket for making the 48th Olympiad the most unforgettable experience possible.
