The world is definitely changing, and this can be viewed as both, bad news…or good news. The bad news is that your savings may be dwindling and you may have to readjust your budget and lifestyle. In this process, and the stress of the unknown, your relationships and mental, physical and financial health are potentially at risk. The good news is, if you don’t resist the changes, you can reinvent yourself for the better in this process. This is the wisdom in ‘RE’ and the groundwork for taking the steps to rebuilding your emotional and financial health.

Step 1:

Reflecting on and recognizing your limitations as well as your strengths. You can become more self-aware by doing some personal redevelopment work. Do you need to be re-inspired? In order to thrive in this new world economy you must be intention-driven rather than circumstance-driven. Your circumstances will always be changing, and you simply need to readjust to make these changes a rejuvenating experience.

Step 2:

Recommitting to making exciting and dynamic changes in your life by getting a personal coach to support you in setting and accomplishing some powerful goals. Coaching is a partnership in which you and a certified coach pro-actively strategize to accomplish your goals…in order to get what you say you really want. By fully and openly participating in the coaching process, you can overcome obstacles that have been in the way of living an abundant and empowered life, personally or professionally. Life coaching is an invaluable gift of support you give to yourself… professional attention to attaining what you say you really want and overcoming the barriers that hold you back or get in the way of living your best life today.

Step 3:

Recalibrating along the way. Once you recommit to making changes you will have to make adjustments to get it right. You are capable of so much more when you are flexible. What we resist will persist. Setting a goal with achievable steps is the beginning, being willing to recalibrate and renegotiate will recharge your life in ways you couldn’t imagine. Choosing an accountability partner that will bring objectivity to the situation will also support your success.

Step 4:

Reconnecting with your compassion for others. The best way to get out of a rut is to complete an act of kindness, be there for somebody else. Mother Teresa once said “It is not how much we do, but how much love we put in the doing. It is not how much we give but how much love we put in the giving”.

Step 5:

Reigniting your relationships. Give others support during the stress of these times. Do something to reinvigorate the dialogue in a relaxed atmosphere. Resolve old hurts and restore all relationships.
