Paid sites and free websites. The two kinds of membership websites have a thing in common. Their memberships are made up of people who have a common interest or have a common need.

get a domain, set up a site and not charge for memberships yet still get to pick who to admit and who not to admit.This is done when the proceeds is intended to come from sales to members after they sign up the site. There are free network websites that might be used for your purpose. Group sites on MSN and on Yahoo are examples of free membership websites. There is no charge at all for anyone to join and it costs nothing to build these websites. There are no paid administrators or moderators required for these types of websites.

On each site, there are rules on how to join and the code of conduct for that particular site. It also featuresvarious topics and subjects. There are countless “support” sites for people with health problems or concerns and for people who have grieved the loss of loved ones. There are websites for those who loves crafts like quilting or woodworking.

There are websites for those who love to travel.
Whatever age group you belong there is a site that suits your taste.
The sites include chat software and a limited amount of space for posting photos, documents and links per member. If there's one thing these free sites don't have, it is access to lists and specialized data like music lessons.
Paid for membership sites are set up by organizations or individuals with the aim of making money by giving difficult to find information, access to specialized information or lists, or instruction in a range of fields. The operation of the membership websites are either done by those who own the site or those who are hired by the website owner to supervise and look after the site. The subjects for paid for membership sites are even more diverse than the free sites and certainly more specialized.
